What are the key principles of the new programme?
It is now based on participation rather than fixed standards.
It is not focused on specific Awards, but complemented by them.

Are the Programme Zones the same for each Section?
No. The Programme Zones are expressed differently for each Section, but they are all developed from the six Personal Development Areas.
Which badges can be worn by Beaver Scouts transferring to the Cub Scout Pack?
The new Cub Scout can wear the following badges, if they have gained them in the Beaver Scout Colony:
The Beaver Scout Moving-On Award
The Chief Scout's Bronze Award
The highest stage of any of the four Staged Activity Badges
The highest Joining-In Badge gained
Are the Section logos and the mascot available for use?
Yes. The logos and mascot are available on the Scouting essentials CD-ROM and on ScoutBase UK. You should follow the brand guidelines 'Own Brand' available from the Scout Information Centre or ScoutBase UK.

Who assesses the standards for the Awards and badges?
The standards are the decision of the leadership team. Most of the Awards and badges are focused on 'best effort' rather than fixed standards, so leadership teams will be looking for the improvement that Beaver Scouts have made.
