Beaver Scouts Act and Mime
Beaver Scouts enjoy play acting, pretending and dressing up. Offering acting and miming in the programme has a variety of purposes:
- To develop creative abilities;
- To increase confidence and self-esteem;
- To help a Beaver Scout learn something;
- To have fun with friends.
Over a period of time, a good Beaver Scout Colony will offer Beavers the opportunity to:
- To take part in a variety of acting and miming;
- Use costumes, hats and props;
- Use a variety of puppets;
- Watch or take part in Scout entertainment.
Ideas that can be used in meetings
- to make puppets and use them to tell a well known tale
- take part in a Gang Show
- to pretend to be certain characters from books
- to have a fancy dress evening
- to play games involving props
