Programme Ideas with Badges

These ideas can be used with individuals or groups of Beavers at home or in the meeting.

1. District and County Badge Jigsaws – Using a colour photocopier, make A5 copies of the county badges. Laminate them if possible and cut up. Children to construct the badges. Could also be used as part of a game.

2. Invite a member of the District or County Team, to talk to the boys about what the badges mean and what they symbolise.

3. Show the Beavers the position of the badges on a picture. Then using Velcro and a Beaver shirt, Beavers to position them in the correct places.

4. Design a new badge for the group, district or County. Talk about buildings, people, events and places that are important to the area.

5. Design a worksheet, which shows the badges and children to draw and fill in the correct information about their own Beaver shirt.
