Beaver Scouts Meet New People
Beaver Scouts have ever widening horizons and they enjoy finding out about people in their community – What they do and how they live.
Meeting new people can have a variety of purposes:
- To awaken interests in other people’s hobbies, interests and jobs;
- To encourage support for groups in the community;
- To show that the colony itself is an important part of the community.
Over a period of time, a good Colony will provide Beaver Scouts with the opportunity to:
- Meet people from their community, or further afield, who can share something about their job, hobby or interest;
- Visit places of interest and where people work, to meet the people who can give them information;
- Hear from people who have interesting life stories or tales to tell.
