Beaver Scouts Use the Outoors
Beaver Scouts use the outdoors as much as possible. No matter where you meet, whether in a city, town, country or suburb, Beaver Scouting can take place outdoors. It is strongly recommended that the ratio of one adult to four Beaver Scouts is maintained during all outdoor activity.
Doing activities and games outdoors encourages Beaver Scouts to:
- Appreciate the wonders of the natural world;
- Value and care for the natural world;
- Enjoys a variety of townscape and Countryside;
- Enjoy fresh air and open spaces to let off steam.
Over a period of time a good Beaver Scout Colony will:
- Hold regular meetings outdoors;
- Use the outdoors to play games and do activities;
- Explore the outdoors;
- Enjoy finding out about the natural world.
