There are six Programme Zones, which split the whole programme into manageable areas. Each Programme Zone represents a different development area in a young person's life.

Beliefs and Attitudes
By actively helping Cub Scouts to explore a wider range of beliefs and attitudes you can help them:
- grow in their faith
- develop and understanding of other people's faith
- put their Promise and Law into action.
Community
By actively helping Cub Scouts to experience the Community Zone, you will help them:
- look after themselves
- help other people
- explore their local community.
Fitness
By actively helping Cub Scouts to experience the Fitness Zone, you will help them:
- understand how their bodies work
- know how to keep fit and healthy
- take part in a variety of fitness activities.
Creative
By actively helping Cub Scouts to be creative, you will help them:
- develop their creative skills, and self expression
- try something new
Global
By actively helping Cub Scouts experience the Global Zone, you will help them:
- increase their awareness of the world and its environment
- find out about other countries and their people
- understand problems people face around the world.
Outdoor and Adventure
By actively helping Cub Scouts to explore the Outdoor and Adventure zone, you will help them:
- enjoy the outdoor life
- sample adventurous actvities
- learn new Scouting skills.
