This book has the following chapters:
1 Programme Planning
What we offer to children in the Cub Scout section is a Balanced Programme; a range of activities, events and experiences built around six Programme Zones
2 The Weekly Programme - key principles
Every week, over 6,500 Cub Scout meetings are organised throughout the UK. These meetings hold the Pack together.
3 Pack Meeting Programmes
Pack meetings generally last between an hour and an hour and half in length. This is long enough for the Cub Scouts to have fun doing different activities without getting bored or restless.
4 Generating Ideas
A resource like this can only include a limited number of ideas. Packs operate in a wide variety of environments and conditions; so much of the programme must depend on the imagination of the Leadership team.
5 Badges and Awards
Part of the Balanced Programme is the Badges and Awards, ranging from the Activity Badges to the Chief Scout's Silver Award which is the top Award in the Cub Scout section.
Appendix
Includes useful dates and a brief glossary.
