European Scout Conference
What: The Scout Association is looking for two people to represent the UK at the European Scout Conference. The conference happens every three years and is held jointly with the European Guide Region. It drives the development of both movements in the Europe./p>
As part of the UK delegation you will take a fully active role in all discussions and seminars, engaging with others and debating potential ways forward for the movement over the next three years. You may also have the opportunity to take part in the electoral process at the conference.
This is a fantastic opportunity to experience Scouting on an international level, to meet new people, to learn how Scouting operates between the European organisations and to form lasting partnerships with Scouts and Guides from across the continent.
Candidates will need to be passionate, articulate, engaging, willing to voice their opinion and be a dynamic part of the UK delegation. However, they need not have any prior experience of attending conferences. All expenses will be paid for and full training and support will be provided in the build up to the event.
If you've got a lot to say about Scouting and welcome a challenge, apply now! Applications close on Monday 11th January 2010.
