younge people in our charge. We have a moral and legal duty to put this
above everything else.

have. In your formal training as an adult, you will explore the
issues raised here in greater detail.
5 The support available for adults
As an adult in Scouting, you are entitled to support to help you do
your job. Your local District and County/Area will provide training
and support for you so that you can gain fresh ideas and skills to
provide the quality programme your young people expect. Also parents
and carers of our young people expect us as Leaders to have adequate
skills and knowledge to run safe and exciting programmes.

in Scouting, we have a duty to try and reach as many young people as
we can. We need to actively try to overcome some of the obstacles that
block the growth of Scout Groups. This chapter offers some advice on
increasing your Membership.

Some people adopt a computer-based approach. Others will rely on
keeping paper-based records. It doesn't matter whihc you choose so
long as it's accurate.
Keeping accurate records ensures that you keep on top of the day-to-day

records to keep and how to keep them.
