The forum for those involved in the running and administration of Scout and Guide Association sites and centres
The aim of the CCSW is to ensure the provision of safe camping and activities for groups using the centres by complying with the Policy Organisation and Rules of the Scout and Guide Associations. The CCSW acts as a liaison between camp sites and other bodies
The objectives of the Council are :-
To be a forum for wardens and managers of Scout and Guide camp sites throughout the UK
To represent members views to the Scout and Guide Associations
To promote good practice in camping
To strive to improve standards and facilities at camp sites
To promote and publicise the Scout and Guide Association policies and programmes, in respect of conduct, activity rules and safety
Take an active part in advising and improving areas of work in which members of the council have first hand knowledge
