Equipment
- 1 candle, 1 cork with attached string, 1 cup, 1 saucer /per team. Matches/lighters.
- Air needs to be still if outdoors.
Description
Each team is given a cork attached to a long string. A member tucks the string into their belt, with the cork dangling around ankles. They have to run/waddle to other end of hall where a lit candle sits on the saucer behind the water filled cup. Without touching the string they have to dunk the cork in the water and then lower the cork onto the candle to snuff it out. They run back, as the leader relights the candle, and give the cork to the next member. And so on.
A very funny spectacle to watch. Haven't played it with Cubs or younger, up to your discretion.
