Awards for All - Scotland
Is your group based in Scotland?
Awards for All Scotland (a lottery funded grant scheme) is keen for small groups to apply for funding from their grant scheme. Even if you have received a grant before you are encouraged to apply again, with a different or new idea/project. To apply to Awards for All Scotland the Group needs to be based in Scotland and to have had an income under £20,000 in the last year. Grants of £500 - £5,000 are available. HBOS Foundation
Do you need financial advice?
This is a foundation set up by Halifax and the Bank of Scotland. It aims to support charitable and voluntary organisations throughout the UK. The Foundation wants to help with:
- Money advice and financial literacy
- Developing and improving local communities

Young Roots
Grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund
This is a scheme offered in the UK by The Heritage Lottery Fund. It is for young people aged 13-20 years old and grants will be given to projects that increase opportunities for learning about heritage. Please visit http://www.hlf.org.uk/ for further information or call 020 7591 6042.
Online Youth Music applications
The National Foundation for Youth Music (featured in August 2002 issue of Funding Points) has now made it possible to apply online. Youth Music aims to present new musical opportunities for young people through four main programmes. Applications are open until September 2004.
Ernest Cook Trust
This trust supports educational projects involved with the countryside and rural environment, as well as projects involving the education and training of young people. The Giving Campaign
Providing fundraising advice.....
This is an independent campaign which has the aim of "encouraging a culture of giving" and hence increase donations to UK charities. The website provides useful publications on Gift Aid, Share Giving and Payroll giving. This is an excellent site and it could be very useful for future fundraising!
