Young Environment Champion of the Year 2003
BBC Wildlife Magazine, The Wildlife Trusts and Severn Trent Water are looking for the 'Young Environment Champion of the Year' Up to £1,500 will be available to each of the winners and all regional winners will receive £250. To enter children must be aged between 7 and 17 and be involved in a creative environmental or wildlife project. For example by doing a survey, cleaning up a natural place or saving energy. B&Q
You Can Do It Community Awards 2003
Charities and Community Organisations across the UK have the chance to receive substantial awards to regenerate their local areas and renovate their buildings and landscapes. If your Scout Headquarters needs a makeover there are twenty grants of £5,000 worth of B&Q products available to enable community groups to improve their facilities. Landfill Tax Credit Scheme
This scheme encourages and enables landfill operators to support a wide range of environmental projects. Community groups can apply to their local operator for grants if they are within 10 miles of a landfill site. To find out if there is a landfill site near you go to the Environment Agency's website at http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk and click on 'What's inyour Backyard'. (England and Wales only)

Just Do Something
Deutsche Bank Spotlight Awards
Created by Common Purpose & Deutsche Bank, these awards recognise 'young people who have spoken up or taken action about something they thought should be improved, created or changed in their community'. To apply you must be aged 11 to 18 on 31 January 2003. Prizes for the winners include computer vouchers worth £1,000.
