Shanks First Fund
Grants for areas close to Shanks landfill sites
Grants are available for community projects throughout Great Britain, in the vicinity of Shanks landfill sites. These are located at: Brogborough/ Stewartby, Pwllfawatkin, Dogsthorpe/Weldon, Bletchley/ Calvert, Arlesey, Rossett/Chirk, Rotherham, Deerplay and Bennet Park.
Applications can be submitted at any time. The deadlines for funding and application forms can be found at www.shanksfirst.org.uk
Applications must be supported by the constitution, equal opportunities/environmental policies, audited accounts and a business plan.
Beacon Fellowship
Beacon is a charitable organisation set up to encourage individual contributions to charitable and social causes and to celebrate and showcase best practice in giving. Beacon awards annual prizes to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to charitable causes or to organisations that benefit the public.
An overall winner is selected every year who will be given a cash reward of £20,000, to be invested innovatively in a charity of their choice. There are several categories for nominations. For further information on these visit the website at www.beaconfellowship.org.uk
You can nominate suitable individuals by visiting the website. The deadline for nominations is the 1 October 2004.
Bridge House Trust
Small grant programme
The Bridge House Trust (small grants scheme) supports activities that are undertaken in Greater London to help children and young people, as well as the community. Grants are in the range of £500 - £5,000. The Trust will not consider being the only or major funder in a project.
Applications can be submitted at any time but a phone call should be made to the Trust before applying. For further information, and the application form, visit www.bridgehousegrants.org.uk. A copy of the constitution, audited accounts and a project budget are also required.
Kellogg's Community Donation Fund
Grants within greater Manchester and Wrexham
The Kellogg's Community Donation Fund supports small projects operating within the areas of Greater Manchester and Wrexham. Projects need to assist community development, the integration of disadvantaged into the community and opportunities for young people.
Small grants are awarded of amounts up to £500. Matched funding may be required. Applications from individuals are not supported. Online applications only are accepted - visit www.kelloggs.co.uk/community
JPMorgan Trust and Foundation
Small grants for educational projects
JPMorgan seeks to strengthen the communities it works in and for this reason grants are concentrated in the following areas; London and London East, Romford, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bournemouth.
