Historic Building Repairs Grant in Scotland
Grants are available for the repair of outstanding architectural or historic interest and for the repair of buildings in outstanding conservation areas in Scotland. Applications forms and guidance notes are available from www.historic-scotland.gov.uk/grants
Clore Duffield Foundation
The Foundation is a grant-giving organisation that concentrates its support on education, cultural leadership training, health and welfare, whilst placing a particular emphasis on supporting children and young people. Application and guidelines are available from www.cloreduffield.org.uk
Get On Board, young Trustees
This is a campaign launched to recruit more charity trustees by the Charity Commission and Timebank. Half of all charities claim to have problems recruiting new trustees and research shows that currently 15% of trustees are under 40 years old. This campaign will seek to help charities fill their vacancies and encourage younger people to volunteer as trustees. Application and guidelines are available from www.getonboard.org.uk
The Gimmie 5 Challenge - Help protect the planet
After the tremendous success of this years event, The Gimmie 5 Challenge will be running again from the 18-26th March 2006. The event raises money for The Scout Association and WWF, the global conservation organisation, and Groups can also keep 25% of the money they raise. World Friendship Appeal
This appeal has been launched to help Scouts from around the world attend the Centenary World Scout Jamboree in 2007 and will be running throughout 2005/06. Abbey National Trust

Yapp Charitable Trust

Young People's Fund (part of Big Lottery Fund)
Young People's fund is now open in Scotland and Northern Ireland which is available for young people between age of 11-25 that will help young people learn new things and take part in healthy and positive activities. Further information is available from www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/programmes
The Waterways Trust
The Waterways Trust operates a small grant scheme providing grants of up to £1000 for projects within the UK that are linked to waterways (canal/river). Online application form is available from www.thewaterwaystrust.org.uk/grants
