Scouting Fonts

Scouts logo font

The TrueType font, Scouts logofont scoutslo.ttf, contains four different versions of the Scouts logotype. Each has its own distinct usage. Please refer to the guidelines to ensure that you have selected the correct keystroke for your requirements. As the logotypes are stored in a font form, all the characters will print black until you change the colour to white, this is important to note for the negative use versions.

The small version is to be used at sizes between 20mm and 29mm wide and the medium version at sizes between 30mm and 99mm.

The large version is for use at 100mm or more (for example, on signage) so it is not necessary for it to be part of the font.

Key stroke     Version
S - Cap S     Positive version for large use
s - lowercase s Positive version for small use
W - Cap W Negative version for large use
w - lowercase w Negative version for small use

Sectional fonts

The following are samples of the new sectional fonts:

Beaver Funhouse

Cub Revue

Scout Section

Explorer

Network Highland Gothic

The Scout and Explorer section fonts have been designed specifically for The Scout Association, and therefore are freely available for download:

Note: these two fonts do not contain lower case letters

The other three are derived from commercial fonts - if you have a copy of the commercial font, you can obtain a copy of the derived font by contacting the Scout Information Centre - demonstrating proof of ownership of the original font.
