Music at Milton Keynes

Twenty of the very best Scout and Guide Bands will battle for supremacy at the National Hockey Stadium, Milton Keynes on Sunday 1 July at The Webb Ivory National Scout Band Festival.

The Festival starts at 10 am until the final parade and presentation of trophies at 5.30pm.

During the festival over 1,000 talented young people will be demonstrating their musicianship, display, showmanship, drill, and deportment skills. The event, being held in Milton Keynes for the first time, has attracted Bands from all round the country. The performances represent many hours of practice and dedication by the participants.

The young people are all active Members of Scout or Guide Groups who continue to take part in all the usual activities enjoyed by over a million Members of the Movements in the UK.

The National Band Festival, which started in 1965, is sponsored by Webb Ivory Ltd. Members of the public are welcome to come and listen to the music and enjoy the colourful displays.
