What is MADD ? MADD is the nations biggest single, fun-filled day of practical hands-on volunteering action.
Who is MADD for and who gets involved ? Everybody! Whatever their interests, abilities, age, race, faith or culture, everyone has something to give and everybody has the opportunity to gain something by participating in MADD.
Where does it happen? Every part of the UK goes MADD. Activities take place everywhere imaginable: community centres, charity shops, churches, copses, castles, colleges, cafes, city centres, schools, ships, shelters, swimming pools, stations, supermarkets, soccer grounds, village squares, parks, woods, nature reserves, canal and river banks, duck-ponds, graveyards and beaches.

How do people get involved? It couldn't be easier. Groups registering with the MADD team are sent a free pack of information and advice . Practical tools are provided such as: How to think up and organise an exciting activity; How to promote the activity to the media and to the general public; How to recruit volunteers for the activity. Promotional material such as posters, leaflets, stickers and balloons are also given for free to activity organisers and really help the Day go with a bang.
