One or more Assistant District Commissioners may be appointed for general duties in the District or for a particular part of the District. Possible roles include General Duties, Development or Relationships. Alternatively the geographical area of the appointment may be named.

These appointments will normally be filled by experienced Commissioners.

The duties will be specified by the District Commissioner on appointment, but are likely to include areas of specially delegated responsibility or deputising generally for the District Commissioner.
