Rule 3.37: Changes in Appointments within the Scout District

  1. The appointments of Leaders and Assistant Leaders within the Scout District may be changed by the District Commissioner and the District Appointments sub-Committee subject to the approval of the Group Scout Leader and the Sponsoring Authority, if any.

  1. When a change is made to these appointments a Provisional Appointment for the new role should be issued, with a maximum length of five months. During this period the following must take place:

    • a new Personal Learning Plan must be created;

    • the relevant Getting Started modules should be completed (if applicable).

  1. When the above have been completed the District Secretary or Appointments Secretary must enter the new appointment on the Leader Warrant, amend the District records and notify the Records Department at Headquarters of the change.
