Rule 11.9: Conferment of the Title 'Honorary Scouter'

AMENDMENT:  change of wording 'outstanding' -> 'dedicated' Jan 2006'.
  1. The title 'Honorary Scouter' may be conferred by Headquarters on a Leader or Commissioner warrant holder who retires and who has completed at least ten years dedicated warranted service.

  1. Following the cancellation of all warranted appointments, a recommendation for the conferment of the title may be made on Form TSA06/GS by a District or County Commissioner in respect of Leaders.

  1. In the case of Commissioners and County Scouters - other than County Commissioners - the recommendation should be made by the County Commissioner.

  1. The title does not carry any entitlement and there is no requirement to pay the Headquarters, County, District or Group Membership Subscriptions if the 'Honorary Scouter' is not otherwise a Member or Associate Member of the Association.

  1. The appointment will be held in abeyance during the currency of any warranted appointment, but will revive automatically on its termination.
