Rule 3.33: Presentation of Warrants and Certificates of Appointment

  1. Warrants must be presented by the District Commissioner or, exceptionally, by a Deputy or Assistant, as soon as possible after receipt.

  1. At the presentation the Leader is invested and makes or reaffirms the Scout Promise when receiving the Warrant.

  1. Certificates of Appointment (including Provisional Appointments) must be presented by or on behalf of the appropriate person as soon as possible after appointment.

  1. If the holder of a Certificate of Appointment is or wishes to become a Member of the Movement, they should be invested and make or reaffirm the Scout Promise when receiving the Certificate.

  1. In the case of a Provisional Appointment the holder cannot be invested until their Warrant is issued.
