1. On piste is defined as: within the marked and patrolled defined snowsports area.

2. A nursery slope is defined as: on piste runs designated for beginners by the body responsible for the snowsports area.

3. For on piste snowsports the maximum party size is 12.

4. Short term personal permit exemptions can be granted by appropriately qualified people, as described in the snowsports factsheet.

5. Off piste covers all terrain not covered by Rule 9.33a.

6. For off piste snowsports the rules for hill walking and off road cycling should be followed in respect to party size, terrain, route cards, etc (see Rules 9.27 - 9.32).
