Chelmsford Borough Council's commitment to hosting the World Scout Jamboree in 2007 was confirmed when the Mayor signed an 'Accord' in Hylands House on 30 June. Present at the signing were members of the Essex Unit who went to Chile for the World Jamboree in 1999. The 'Accord' was signed on behalf of The Scout Association by Chief Executive, Derek Twine.
