Nights Away
During 2003 and 2004 The Association is introducing the new Nights Away Scheme.
While young people don't necessarily join Scouting for, camping and residential experiences, they are undoubtedly a key part of the appeal. In the consultation carried out prior to the development of the Balanced Programme, young people repeatedly listed camping in the top three activities that we offer in Scouting.
The new scheme is based on substantial research and extensive trials. It promotes camping and provides a realistic level of competency amongst our adults.
Special Needs
Scouting is open to all, and in this section of the site we look at how we make it in inclusive for those with special needs.
