Activity Academies are five day residential events for members aged 18-25.

The first Activity Academy will be held at Hawkhirst Scout Activity Centre from Monday 6th to Friday 10th April 2009.
This event will focus on water activities, giving participants the opportunity to develop existing skills, try new activities and progress onto leading these activities. During the five days time will also be spent looking at more gerneral leaderships skills.
Activity Academies are open to all members aged 18-25 regardless of your role, you could be a Leader, Scout Network member or member of the Scout Fellowship.
Applicants need to be able to attend for the whole duration (Monday to Friday) and will be expected to take part in all aspects of the event. In doing so the Activity Academy will be suitable as an activity for the Queen's Scout Award or Gold DofE Residential section. A sample programme is available with more details of the five day programme.
Attendance at the Activity Academy will cost £100 per person, this will include all accommodation, food and activities. Accommodation will be indoors in shared multi bed rooms.
Application forms should be sent to the Activities office at Gilwell Park no later than the 1st March along with payment of £100 made payable to The Scout Association. Any questions should be directed to acvtivities@scout.org.uk
