The Access Organisation Initiative is designed to give recognition to those who are taking part in activities which fit into the D of E, but are not registered for the Award.

A licence will be issued to the activity provider which allows them to issue Sectional Certificates and Access Credits to young people who fulfil the requirements of a Section of the D of E. The young person then has 6 months to cash the Access Credit in and register on the Award, if they do this the Section is accredited to them.

If you are interested in becoming an Access Organisation for the D of E and are an activitiy provider within The Scout Association, you should contact the Activities Office at Gilwell Park requesting more information.

Waterside Lodge is an activity centre based in Southport that provides a variety of water activities.

Waterside Lodge are licenced for the Service, Skill and Physical Recreation Sections at all three levels of the Award.
