During the spring of 2008 we will be holding a series of workshops across the country to help adults involved in the Explorer Scout and Scout Network Sections to better deliver the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
We will be holding one workshop in each of the English regions. Each workshop will run from 10am - 4pm with coffee and registration from 9.30am.
The day will give participants the chance to get more familiar with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award criteria, while exploring how we ensure that we offer both Scouting and Duke of Edinburgh's Awards at the same time. There will also be a chance to attend some discussion groups on various aspects of the Award.
We would particularly welcome applications from Explorer Scout Leaders, District Explorer Scout Commissioners, District and County Scout Network Leaders and County Scout Network Commissioners. However, any adult with an interest in the development of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award would be welcome to attend.
Workshops will be taking place in the following places on the dates specified:
- Taunton - 26th January 08
- Reading - 27th January 08
- Middlesbrough - 2nd February 08
- Preston - 3rd February 08
- London - 1st March 08
- Cambridge - 2nd March 08
- Derby - 9th March 08
