Here are a set of prayers that you may wish to use for your Service. Some of them have themes, but you may also like to have a go and writing your own!

Let us pray -

Lord, we thank You for Scouting Worldwide.

Thank You that although we live in different Countries, with many varying cultures, faiths and backgrounds, we have a common link through our Scouting.

Lord, may we never be blinkered but always see them as our neighbours and be ever reaching out to help in times of need.

Let us pray -

Lord, we thank You for times of recreation.

Thank You that, although we are all so very different from one another,

Each one of us can find an activity to help us unwind from the strains and stresses of every day life.

Lord, help us to see that relaxing with people with like-minded interests helps us appreciate one another more.

Let us pray -

Lord, we thank You for the beauty all around us.

Thank You for Your skill in creating such an awesome array of colours, smells ,tastes and textures.

Lord, help us to cultivate the world that You have given us to enjoy.

Help us to protect it, so it will continue to flourish for years ahead.

Let us pray -

Lord, we thank You for the vast universe that we are part of.

Thank You for the many planets and stars that scientists and astronomers have reached and ones that are still beyond their wildest dreams and understanding.

Lord, help us, in our own small way, to protect and prevent even more damage to the atmosphere.

Let us pray -

Lord, we thank You for times of relaxation.

Thank You for times when we can enjoy calm surroundings.

Thank You for people who use their skills and abilities to enhance these times for us, like musicians and authors.

Lord, help us to remember that these peaceful moments can also be spent being in Your presence, focussing on You.

Let us pray -

Lord, we thank You for our bodies and minds.

We thank You that each of us is unique and special and have different gifts and abilities.

Lord, help us to value each other and ourselves, knowing that we all have an important role to play in Your creation
