Christchurch District in Dorset managed to keep the more traditional aspects of St Georges day whilst also combining it with something a bit more fun for the Young People to enjoy. District Commissioner, Mark Flexman, emailed us to share their ideas:

"We had a 'parade', well actually a walk through the town before our traditional service in Christchurch Priory. However afterwards we provided all 454 young people and their leaders with a picnic lunch. We all sat out on the lawn of the church house, had our picnics to the sound of our scout band and enjoyed entertainment provided by a local 'clown'. Next year we hope to do something even more exciting and fun :-) "
