An international exchange programme enables Scouts from two or more countries to come together on equal terms to have fun, to share activities, experiences and cultural opportunities. The exchange should encourage the greatest possible involvement of the Scouts and leaders in the planning and organising of the programme.

Exchange Programmes
Many Counties, Districts and Groups have developed local exchange programmes with Scouting in other countries. There are also Town Twinning links, and the Scouts International Student Exchange Programme between the UK Scout Association and Scouts Australia.
Home Hospitality
Offering a short stay in the home of a Scout family can be a thoroughly rewarding experience for both the hosts and the visitors. Already a key component of the World Jamboree experience, it can also be used locally to provide your Scouts with an international experience 'in their own back yard'.
