Kandersteg International Scout Centre is the only world centre of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The Centre began in 1923 as a place where all Scouts from all over the world could meet.

Kandersteg is easily reached by road and rail and provides an excellent base for sightseeing or exploring the Alps. The Centre is situated at 1200 metres above sea level approximately 40 miles south of Bern. The Centre is at the southern end of the small, traditional village of Kandersteg and is open both to groups and individuals, Scouts and non-Scouts, throughout the year.
