Your creative step into Europe...

Are you preparing an exciting project for the future and you would like to share it with others?
Are you interested in similar initiatives taken by other patrols all over Europe?
Are you ready to work together to produce creative material about your project?

If so Express EURself may be just the thing... and its really simple as all you have to do is register your Patrol and then design and complete a creative project that can be shown to other people on a given theme. Its up to you what media you want - it can be music, dance, photography...

The theme for Express EURself is currently Discovery so as a Patrol, you must design and complete a creative project which can be shown to other people on the theme of Discovery.

Your creative project can be in any format. Examples are:

• Music
• Web site
• Sculpture
• Art
• Still photograph
• Photo collage
• Animation
• Video
• Performance
• Drawing
• Painting
• Multi media
• Dance
• Mural or
• Powerpoint presentation

Your finished project will be made available on CD, DVD, and on the European Scout Region web-site, and could therefore potentially be seen by anybody, anywhere in the world.

You could also put your completed project on a website of your choice, and distribute it yourself.

Once Patrols have completed their projects, they must submit them to the European Scout Office.

Depending on the type of project, Patrols may submit their project by post in its original format (eg video tape, CD, DVD, mini-disk, audio cassette) or via email

• Sculpture, Art, Still photograph - Send digital photographs of stages of project and finished project
• Photo collage - Send collage by email. Maximum duration 5 minutes
• Animation, Video, Performance, Drawing - Send digital photographs of stages of project and finished drawing
• Painting, Multimedia - Send on CD, or email
• Dance, Mural - Send digital photographs of stages of project and finished mural
• Powerpoint Presentation - Send on CD, or email

1. Discuss the idea with your Patrol and your Leaders and decide on a project
2. Register your Patrol with the UK LoA Ambassador.
3. Once your application has been received, you will be sent enough "Lands of Adventure" badges for all members of your Patrol
4. Plan and carry out your project on the theme of Adventure
5. Submit your project to the European Scout Office
6. Sew on your Express EURself badge whilst you wait for your project to appear on the Lands of Adventure website (http://www.scout.org/europe/LoA/LoAe.html)

Once we receive some Express EURself Project applications, we will include a summary of them here followed by a synopsis of the results once the project is complete.
