The Jack Petchey Foundation

The Jack Petchey Foundation was established by the successful East London entrepreneur, Jack Petchey, in 1999. It is a young, progressive grant making Trust based in Ilford Essex.

It is now among the largest and most influential London charitable foundations. It focuses on projects and programmes that benefit 11-25 year olds. The main area of operation is the London boroughs and Essex, where it currently operates in 1600 secondary schools and youth clubs. There are smaller programmes elsewhere.

We are currently reviewing our priorities for Project Grants and Sponsorship. Please refer to the Grants Page for latest update.

In addition to more traditional grant making functions, JPF plans to continue to introduce and develop new, far reaching programmes that benefit young people such as "Petchey's Speak Out Challenge", which is probably the largest youth speaking programme in the world.

2008 saw the Jack Petchey Foundation enter the Lord Mayor’s Show for the second time. It was a great success .

THE JACK PETCHEY THEATRE CHALLENGE

After 5 weeks intensive training in all aspects of Musical Theatre from a team of professional tutors, those who signed up and stayed the course will be

onstage at Her Majesty’s Theatre (the home of Phantom of the Opera), in the West End,Sunday November 23rd.
They will be performing to a 1000 strong audience
and for the finale they will be joined onstage by Leanne Jones, star of the current West End Hit Hairspray and winner of The Laurence Olivier Award 2008 for Best Actress in a Musical.
