Resources for the Scout Fellowship

New Scout Fellowship Website

The new Fellowship website is up and running at www.scouts.org.uk/fellowship!

From the site you can find out about Fellowship, read stories from local and National Fellowships, download resources, read the latest news stories and articles, and find out about the Scout Fellowship Support Team.

Please let us know what you think of the new site, and if you have any suggestions for improvements, by emailing fellowship@scout.org.uk

For the next couple of months both the new site and the Scoutbase pages will continue to be updated. However, please be aware that in the not too distant future the Fellowship pages on Scoutbase will be redirected and you will only be able to access information through the new site.

This resources section contains a variety of information designed to help with the running of your Fellowship. Here you can find "Active Support" and "Remit and Review" which together give comprehensive information and advice on all areas of Scout Fellowship. Items such as logos and merchandise can be found in the Scout Fellowship Image section, whilst birthday cards, recruitment leaflets and posters are all designed for you to download and print for your own use.

"Active Support"

The revised Scout Fellowship File is called "Active Support - a complete guide to the Scout Fellowship" and is now available for downloading from ScoutBase UK - please follow this Scout Fellowship File link for more details.

The recent update to "Active Support" is also available to download in this section.

Fellowship Factsheets

These factsheets provide an overview of some of the key issues relating to Scout Fellowship:

  • What is Scout Fellowship?
Outlines the answer to one of the most frequently asked questions. Covers what Fellowships are, what they do, who can be a member and what the benefits of being a member are.

  • Setting up a Scout Fellowship
A starting point for anyone thinking about setting up a new Fellowship. Covers reasons for setting up a Fellowship, different types of Fellowships, the benefits of being a Fellowship, the support structure for Fellowships, and where to start.

  • Developing and Revitalising your Fellowship
Do you need some help and direction for your Fellowship? This factsheet is designed to help you to think around various issues that many Fellowships face. It covers recruitment, selling your skills, developing your skills base, adapting to a changing need, and programme ideas.

  • Registering a Scout Fellowship
Covers in more detail aspects of registering a Scout Fellowship such as your responsible Commissioner, remit, executive committee, constitution, registering members, training, census and communication.

Remit and Review

A new publication has been produced to help Fellowship Members identify the purpose and the activities that they undertake as a Fellowship, and to assess what additional or alternative support they may need to offer.

The booklet helps by assisting Fellowships to look at the needs of the District and the needs of Fellowship Members, and to identify whether additional skilled adults need to be recruited, current Members skills already meet these needs, or training will fill the gaps identified.

The booklet Remit and Review can be downloaded here.

The Scout Fellowship Image

Contains information on and pictures of the Fellowship necker, badge, logo and 30th anniversary pin badge.
